Category Descriptions

Campus: The campus on which the student is currently active.

Career or Classification: The academic career in which the student in currently active (e.g., Undergraduate, Graduate, Law, Medical School).

Cohorts: The PeopleSoft groups denoting the school and year in which a student was a freshman, if they matriculated as freshman.

Guarantee Status: Student has a guaranteed admission status to a Pitt graduate program. Note: Some programs include multiple categories to indicate whether the status is nominated, given or not given.

Learning Communities and Living Learning Communities: Any learning communities or living learning communities which the student is a part.

Minors and Certificates:  Any minors the student has declared and certificates the student is pursuing.

PeopleSoft Academic Standing: The current academic standing of a student based on academic performance in the term indicated in the category title.

PeopleSoft Enrollment Dates, Graduation and Holds: Categories to designate PeopleSoft enrollment related information of a student. These include enrollment dates, whether the student has applied for graduation or is eligible to apply for graduation and advising hold status.

Pronouns: Personal gender pronouns the student has set in PeopleSoft.

Residence Hall: The residence hall in which the student currently resides.

Satisfactory Academic Progress: The current Satisfactory Academic Progress status of the student.

School, College or Program (Grad/Prof): The graduate or professional school, college or program a student is active in.

School, College or Program (Ugrd): The undergraduate school, college or program a student is active in.

Sports: Any NCAA teams in which the student is currently active on the designated campus. Also included are categories to designate memberships of cheer/dance teams, band, or managers of sports teams on the Pittsburgh Campus.

Student Characteristics: Categories which provide details about specific student characteristics or status. These may include residency, rural students, transfer students, first-generation status, or opt-in/opt-out statuses.

Student Services, Programs, Engagement or Experience: The PeopleSoft groups which the student is a member of, and used to designate involvement in TRIO SSS, or other programs, engagement or experiences.

Summer Sessions: The student is enrolled in a summer session program.

Veteran: Any Veteran-affiliated program with which students are associated.
